Synopsis
A dedicated nurse and a flower-loving resident doctor grow closer while confronting difficult questions about medicine, aging, and end-of-life care at a regional hospital. Adapted from the collection of short stories "Wasurenagusa no Saku Machi de: Azumino Shinryoki"

Episode 1Mikoto (Riko Fukumoto) is a third-year nurse working in the internal medicine ward of Azusagawa Hospital in Azumino, Shinshu. One morning, she is approached by intern Shotaro Katsura (Arata Sugo), who is wandering around with a vase and still has messy hair, asking her for directions to the water source. There, Mikoto mistakes the name of the flowers in the vase, and Shotaro makes fun of her, which annoys her a little. Meanwhile, Shotaro, who has just transferred to the internal medicine ward, is introduced to the staff by his supervising physician, Mishima (Mitsuru Fukikoshi), but is soon subjected to a harsh insult from senior physician Tanizaki (Takeshi Naito).2
